USAKF will be taking a “open” team to this world championships June 14-20, 2016. You are being invited to participate or send any interested students to participate in this event. Please read the below closely.

USAKF will take both elite and non-elite athletes. Divisions run from ages 6-20 regardless with divisions for different ranks

 There will also be a world cup for over 21 and divisions for veterans
Rules are both Sanbon shobu and ippon shobu - you choose which one you want to compete in, but you can only compete in one per the rules of the WUKF.

Each athlete must coordinate through the USAKF National Office and USAKF National Team  coaches are available to help assist you to train for this event.

 The USAKF will qualify as many coaches as we can to the floor of the competition so let us know if interested.

 International Refereeing is also a possibility.

Travel Arrangements
You will book your own airfare and rooms - Please see below for important information on the rooms as the main hotel is filling up fast. You may wish to book early one. We will have a recommended travel agent to assist with airfare.

Association Fees
USAKF will establish a fee to pay for registration for the tournament and to have a common tracksuit and other  paraphernalia. This cost for this will come later but has not been more then $250 on any trip.

The superb official hotel offering more than 700 rooms seems to be not enough for our members, more that 350 rooms were already booked and the reservations are still coming.
The WUKF officials will have the second visit of the venue and facilities at the end of August inspecting and finalizing the initial plans of organization.

Please let your students know we are reducing the cost for parents or siblings of young karateka to $10, not $12. This will be more than adequate to cover non-participant food cost. This should also make it less confusing on cost to participate.

Parents, & siblings are welcome and encouraged to participate with the extra-curricular activities. There will be lots to keep busy with and have FUN Too!

As a reminder the Kwanmukan Summer Festival is a great opportunity to meet and greet your other Kwanmukan fellow karateka, enjoy learning together and share healthy fellowship and have a Blast!!

While there will be high level Black Belt training, the emphasis is to provide meaningful training for the Kyu rank.

In order to plan effectively it is important to send in the registration form attached to the flyer right away.

The fee - a real bargain for a day of training, food, and entertainment needs to be post marked by August 22. After that date the cost is an additional $3.00.

Each person that registers will receive a ticket at the event. You must have a ticket to get the meal.
