INTERNATIONAL MARTIAL ARTS RANKING

The International Kwanmukan issues or has relationships with organizations who issue rank in Karate, Taekwondo, Judo, Jujitsu, Kobudo, Jodo, Iaido. To be considered or supported in rank either through the International Kwanmukan or through one of its related organizations must complete an appropriate application and pay the required fees. Rank can be issued at either the kyu (kup) or dan levels.

Dan ranking is issued at three levels - one is simply a registration of your current rank. The second is a formal certification based on the vetting of your rank credentials. The third is a promotion. The fees for each are different, as are the certificates. In certain situations, USA Karate Federation will agree to homologate your rank with the World Union of Karatedo Organisations. For a homologated certificate, you must first certify your dan rank with the USA Karate Federation.

For rank in the International Kwanmukan, this needs to come through a Kwanmukan Recognized Dojo.

For Dan ranking for Kwanmukan Members, please see the below forms. All three - application, obligation and teaching agreement - are required as noted below.

1. Black Belt Application - required of all applicants
2. Black Belt Instructor Agreement - only those applicants age 18 and over
3. Obligation for Dan - required of all applicants age 18 and over
4. Obligation for Junior Dan - required of all applicants under age18
